Store-bought treats are often full of fillers and preservatives. These homemade biscuits are healthy, cheap, and dog-approved.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (or Oat flour for grain-free)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Canned Pumpkin (Pure pumpkin, NOT pie filling)
  • 2 tbsp Peanut Butter (Natural, Xylitol-Free)

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix: Combine pumpkin, peanut butter, and eggs in a bowl.
  3. Add Flour: Gradually add the flour until a stiff dough forms.
  4. Roll: Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Cut: Use cute cookie cutters (bone shapes are classic).
  6. Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until crunchy.
  7. Cool: Let them cool completely.

The CBD Option

If you want to make these calming treats:

  • Do NOT bake the CBD into the treat (heat kills it).
  • Instead, drop the CBD oil directly onto the treat just before giving it to your dog. This ensures they get the exact dose they need without degradation.
