Farmer's Hand Salve
Cracked knuckles and dry skin are badges of honor, but they don't have to hurt. Make this soothing balm at home.

Farming is hard on the hands. Between the winter cold, the soil, and the constant washing, skin takes a beating. We created this simple recipe to lock in moisture and deliver localized CBD relief to stiff knuckles.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil OR Shea Butter (Base)
- 2 tbsp Beeswax pellets (Hardener)
- 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil (Preservative/Healer)
- 15 drops Essential Oils (Lavender for calm, Peppermint for cooling)
- 2-4 droppers Laura's Mercantile Full Spectrum CBD Oil
Instructions
- Double Boiler: Create a double boiler by placing a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water.
- Melt: Add the Coconut Oil/Shea Butter and Beeswax. Stir until completely melted.
- Cool Slightly: Remove from heat. Let it cool for 1-2 minutes (you don't want to burn off the CBD).
- Infuse: Stir in the Vitamin E, Essential Oils, and CBD Oil.
- Pour: Pour into small specialized tins or mason jars.
- Set: Let it sit at room temperature for 2-3 hours until solid.
How to Use
Scrape a small amount with the back of your thumbnail. Rub it into:
- Dry cuticles
- Cracked heels
- Stiff knuckles
- Elbows
Storage: Keep in a cool, dark place. It will melt if left in a hot car!
